We started taking a Gymboree class on Saturday mornings. It's a lot of fun! We sing and clap and dance. Then, they have play time and the kids get to do all kinds of activities on the equipment. Here, Cooper is learning how to roll a ball through the tunnel! After play time, the parachute and bubbles come out...that's Mommy's favorite part, but Cooper is still not sold on being underneath the parachute. :)

Baking with Cousin Emily!
Cooper loves hanging out with his cousin, Emily! She came to our house for a sleepover last weekend. She is really good with Cooper and enjoys holding him and playing with him. We made some very special chocolate chip cookies to send to Mommy and Daddy's friend Breanne who is currently serving in Afghanistan. Cooper even had his own spoon!
Sitck with me kid, and I'll teach you everything I know.
Cooper FINALLY got to meet his buddy Matthew the other day! They had fun staring at each other, eating, drooling, napping...and you know, baby stuff. We look forward to lots of play dates in the future. :)
Food is Always Better if you PLAY with it!
Not much to say on this one...sometimes Cooper opens up wide and get (most of) his food in his mouth. Sometimes he is too interested in everything else going on and turns his head all over, tries to help with the spoon (to be encouraged of course), or puts his fingers in his mouth followed by rubbing them all over his face. This picture is one of his more impressive after meal faces.

Just one of the boys!
One of the great things about getting older is that Cooper gets to interact with the other kids in his class. It's fun to watch! It's also wild to see him as one of the "big kids" and not the baby anymore! Here, he is hanging out at the big kid table with his friends Eldyon, Colton and Max! :)
6 Month Cooper
6 Month Cooper, originally uploaded by tomo.ono.
A little compilation of what Cooper's been doing as a 6 month old. He had his check-up and he is a healthy boy. He is sitting up and playing, eating solid foods, laughing a lot, and taking big boy baths. Enjoy!

I am 6 months old today!!!
We can hardly believe it, but Cooper is in fact 6 months old today! He seems like an entirely different baby then the one we brought home from the hospital. He's grown and developed so much...he's just an incredible kid. :) Mommy took the red eye home from California to make sure she didn't miss the big day. Daddy made Cooper some special chocolate filled bread to celebrate! He made it in the shape of a 6, a frog, a bear, and a monkey! Unfortunately, Cooper has to take our word for it that it was very good. HAPPY 6 MONTH BIRTHDAY COOPER HIROTO ONO!!! WE LOVE YOU!!! :-D

Big Boy Bath Time!
Sitting up also means a big boy bathtub! Cooper can splash and play with his rubber duck while he takes his bath! I guess we'll need to invest in some tub toys. :)
I can do so many cool things when I sit up!
Cooper is having a blast sitting up to play with all of his toys! He is learning how to move things, stack things, bang things, and of course he still puts most everything in his mouth! He particularly enjoys playing with his train, his stacking rings, and his zoo toy. Check out our flickr page for more fun pictures!

Look Who's Growing Up 2
So during the trip to Japan, Cooper was showing signs of sitting up all on his own. Now that we are back in Ohio, he's pretty much mastered it. He'll still topple over once in a while but he still enjoys playing with his toys sitting up.
He's learning so many things so quickly...

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!
Cooper had of course ridden in the car, and he had been on a plane...but in Japan he got to ride trains (lots of them!) for the very first time. He seemed to enjoy the trains and spent time looking out the window at the scenery and napping. On our last day in Japan, Cooper even got to take the Shinkasen (bullet train) from Nagoya to Tokyo!
Cousin Aira says "Peace!"
Cooper was thrilled to finally meet his cousin Aira! She was, of course, adorable. In the picture, she is, as the Japanese love to do, giving Peace Signs (well, her own version of Peace signs!). Unfortunately, it was a short visit, but we look forward to many more in the future!! Next time, hopefully, Uncle Nori can join us as well!
