Cooper is doing such an amazing job with big boy foods that on Friday night, we decided to try a baby food-free dinner! he had peas and a grilled cheese! He picked everything up by himself and put it right in his mouth!!!

Straight A's!!!
We had a parent teacher conference the other day. Cooper finished the "Level I Infant Curriculum" in March with Straight A's!!! That means he Always demonstrated each of the skills they were looking for. He's already flying through Level II. His teacher is very impressed with his progress and they think he is going to be ready to move onto the next classroom very soon...maybe even before his first birthday! I'll be sure to keep the report for his Michigan class of 2031 application. :)

Last Sunday, Cooper's friend, Joey, came over to play. They played with all of Cooper's toys and had so much fun. Everyone really loved bubble time!!! :-D

Cooper learned a new skill!! He does this very well with Apple Jacks, pretty good with other snacks too but when it comes to regular food, they somehow end up in his hair and not in the mouth...

Cooper, loves eating anything we're eating...so he did get to have a pancake, but no blueberry syrup quite yet. :)
Expert Crawler
Cooper has definitely found independence in his mobility. He had so much fun today at Gymboree! He crawled around to the other kids, to the balls, to Gymbo the clown...and he crawled through all the tunnels! After class, he took off across the room. He'd spotted a ball inside the really long tunnel from clear across the room! He went right over, got the ball and crawled all the way through the tunnel. Then, he turned around and came back the other way! He went back and forth, up and down the tunnel 4 or 5 times and wasn't hampered at all by it's wiggles and rolls! He's amazing! :-D

This looks Yummy...
Yes, that handful of mulch did go in his mouth. Cooper has now officially eaten dirt. And he's still alive to tell the tale so I guess we can relax. :) We took a trip to the park to get some fresh air...Cooper went on the slide and the swings as well as standing all over the place to practice his balance and riding on a pony and a dinosaur!
ROOOOAAAARRRR!!!!
Even though he just started crawling, Cooper is showing LOTS of signs that he is eager to walk! He pulls himself up, pushes himself up, does whatever he can do get himself up to a standing position...and then lets go! His balance is improving rapidly. We got him this super cool lion walker to help him along. He really enjoys pushing the nose and bouncing to the music. He also looks under the seat a lot....we think he's trying to check the engine...he might be a car guy like his dad.
Chis Pants!
Uncle Chris wears...well...funny plaid pants! So, we couldn't resist getting Maddi and Cooper "Chris Pants" to wear when they got to play with their Uncle Chris in Big Sky!
Uncle Brandon! Look what I can do!
...just kidding. :) Brandon has all these theories about how Cooper is bound to be a boy genius b/c Tomo is...well....Tomo. Brandon even does a little "bit" about it that is kind of funny. SO, we thought it would be funny to buy Cooper a rubik's cube and tell Brandon he'd solved it, no problem, first try. :)

Double Achievement

No way!! Cooper learned to both crawl and sit-up (by himself from a flat position) at the same time! It is so much fun to watch where he would go next. His favorite things to crawl to are cell phones, remotes and places that he can stand himself up.
Now it's time to go look for fences to keep him contained...

Cooper finally met Maddi and the whole gang from Malmstrom. He is having so much fun playing with Maddi, Tyler, Summer, Brandon, Ryan, and Chris. Check out the pictures on Flickr to see all that's going on!
Vacation
Our first day in Montana for vacation... Flew in to Bozeman, MT and then took a nap to get ready for the excitement. This type of scene seems to be very common with these two though.

Cooper Got His Ears Lowered!
Well, mommy finally reached her limit...Cooper needed a hair cut! He watched Daddy get his haircut first so he'd know what we going on. Then he sat on Mommy's lap and was such a big boy the whole time! He sat still and didn't cry at all! AND, it turned out so nice! If it's possible, Cooper got even MORE handsome!!!! :-D
Cousin Emily and the Park!
Spring has come to Dayton and we rushed to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! Cooper's cousin Emily came over for a sleepover and we went to the park! Cooper and Emily went down slides, swung really high, ran all over the place, and enjoyed this cool green dinosaur thing together. :) Then, on Saturday morning, Emily even came with us to Cincinnati to see Grandpa Alan! We had so much fun! Come again soon, Emily! :-D
